I know this hairstyle looks fancy and all, but it’s my “I need to wash my greasy hair” ‘do. And yes, I’m still off the ‘poo — I’ll write about it another time. I still stand by the fact that these braids are really easy to do yourself.
You can even check out my double french braid tutorial so I can say I told you so.
I bought this maxi dress over the winter and it was a crazy, amazing, too-good-to-be-true deal. It was at Anthropologie (I know, I know, I’m a terrible person for giving them my money) and was originally $200 and went on super sale for just $30.
That’s right — $30!
Here’s one of my secrets for scoring great deals: I subscribe to Shop It To Me email updates. Basically, you enter your favorite brands or designers (they have kids stuff, too!), the sizes you are looking for, and you get daily emails when stuff goes on sale.
While most of the time the sale isn’t big enough for me to even sniff at, every once in a while something really great pops up (like my $20 white jeans from J Crew!).
I took these pictures at the property I am staying at. I’m living in a geodesic dome with the kids, right next to an old victorian mansion that is currently being restored. I promise I’ll write about the dome another time because it’s so awesome it truly deserves its own post.
It sort of looks like this, but it’s on the ground — not in a tree. It’s actually more of a yurt/dome hybrid, or a “yome.” Again, I’ll write about it later.
But, the whole point of this is to explain why there are wood piles all over the place and why there is a picture of me holding a chainsaw. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but chainsaws are the must have accessory for spring/summer ’12. And, you know, I’m super high-fashion and stuff.
You still with me?
Don’t worry, I haven’t gone lumberjack on you (yet) and I’m not carrying around a chainsaw like it’s a Birkin bag or something. My friend kind of put me up to this picture and we both thought it was pretty funny. Or maybe being waterlocked is finally getting to me.
Either way, don’t take me too seriously right now. I’ve got to get my kicks somehow.
And, as promised, the CHAINSAW (insert evil laugh here):

Love that dress and necklace and of course the hair!!! I was wondering how the no 'poo was going… anxious to read your post on that. But, it's the chain saw that makes the shot.

I think that the Chainsaw is a highly important equipment for people who live in forest areas and rural areas because due to the unavailability of proper resources, they still need to cut the tree logs to warm up their body in the winter season. Apart from this, chainsaw is a must-have equipment for carving the wooden crafts.
