It’s been a while since I’ve done a Thrifty Mama post. It seems as though time on the island quickly slips away from me. I also didn’t bring a ton of clothing with me, so it’s not like you guys want to see post after post of my old jeans and Target tanks. It’s not exactly inspiring stuff.
Well, I managed to get my act together and take some pictures of an outfit that I’m pretty happy with. The top and ring are from one of my favorite stores, which just so happens to be on this little tiny island. They are also both one size fits all and I’m sure the store would be happy to send them to you if you are interested. *hint, hint*
The top has that kind of 90s crop-top feel, which you know I am not too thrilled about, so I ended up putting a white tank top on under it for more coverage. I also wore it with skinny jeans (Technically, the are jeggings. Don’t judge.) to balance out the boxy cut.
I tried to capture some of the essence of the island in these photos. There are apple trees all over the property and the most charming barn next door. I’m not going to lie: the weather has been pretty craptastic. BUT… When it is good, it’s amazing. And the day I took these photos just so happened to be epic.

Girlfriend! I'm 5'4", so I feel you on the short thing. I think the trick is to balance it out so you don't look squatty, which is something that definitely happens to me. I'll have long legs in my next lifetime. I just know it.
