The weather was pretty epic at the beginning of the week, so I was finally able to bust out my white jeans. I have a thing for white pants and I wear them almost every day during the summer. As my children get older, this proves to be a bit challenging, but I’m not going to go down without a fight.
I also got to finally break in my John Fleuvog sandals, which have been waiting patiently in my closet all winter. I bought them on super sale over the holidays and I have a feeling that they are also going to be a summer staple for me.
They were a bit over budget for me, but considering what the original price was, I feel pretty confident in the purchase. Plus, John Fleuvog shoes are really well made and they last forever.
Basically, if I really love something, plan on wearing it a ton, and know its high quality and will stand the test of time, then I will justify spending a little more. I still came out at less than $200 for the entire outfit, including accessories. The jeans are the major score of this outfit. Check out the price at the end of the post!
And if you want to know why my hair looks so dark and greasy, then read this.
You’ll also be glad to know that I finally bought a remote control for my shutter, so no more of these annoying “I’m holding the camera with one arm and trying to look like I’m not” kind of pictures. Phew!

super cute. I've been on the hunt for a Chambray shirt since last year or so. i can't believe you found that one at target–I looked there with no success! It's so cute.

Have you tried Forever 21? I could even see JC Penny or the juniors department at Macys having a good one. J Crew has a really cute one

Aren't they awesome???? The are gladiator-ish but not too strappy or in your face. I hope you can still get them!

So, I also consider myself frugal, and maybe it's because I'm a guy, but your whole outfit makes sense to me except the sandals for $129. They're nice and all, but I pay $10 for a pair of sandals two pairs last me for a summer. Am I missing something?

Yes, the sandals were a total splurge, which I did mention in the post. Every once in a while I will spend money on something like that if I absolutely love it and will wear it for years. I'd been eyeing them all season, but the were $260 and I would never spend that on a pair of shoes. But then they went on sale and I couldn't resist.
You aren't missing anything. We all have our weaknesses, and those sandals are definitely one of mine!

Love the side braid and bracelet (I''m really into accessories right now). And the pink toes.
I have a Chambray shirt (from Old Navy) that I love and pair it with white jeans too. Cute outfit.
