A while back I told you about my Urban Farming Fail, in which all my vegetables were half-dead and my chicken coop was in a general state of disarray just as San Diego Home and Garden was coming to shoot photos for an article I had written.
Well, the article has been published and can be seen in the September issue of San Diego Home and Garden. I’d like to take credit for the catchy title, but that was all their doing. Nice job guys!
This is my first print article to be published and I wanted to share it with all of you. You guys have all been so supportive of my wacky endeavors and the fact that you take the time to read this little old blog means the world to me. I can honestly say that this never would have happened without you. So, thank you.
It’s a big day here at The Little Hen House.

I have said it once and I will say it 43561365165213561 more times: You are amazeballs. And gorgeous. Like, I wish I could hate you but I don't, gorgeous.

YAY! I love the article and I'm so glad that people are picking up on this "trend". We've kept chickens for many years and have been great pets, egg providers and garbage disposals.

What Surferwife said!
And OMG I'm so excited because I'm going to get to say "I knew her when…."
Also "Tates?" Are you growing potatoes now too?

So very awesome.
In fact, it's SO awesome I'm sitting here thinking, "I kind of want to raise chickens like Morgan!"
But then I remember I'm me.
So yeah.
p.s. I'd say I want to be you when I grow up except I'm already so much older. DANG it.

Yay! I'm with everyone else–you look too cute to be a farmer. But what a cool, random, and practical hobby. We have wild turkeys and a bazillion ducks that roam around our campus housing. I wish I could put them to use. Worthless birds that wander into patio area and crap. What we need are chickens!

This is adorable! Congrats, Morgan!
I also tried having a chicken in my home about 10 years ago, but it escaped from my yard once, and the neighbors were not amused when it showed up in one of their garages — back then, it was illegal to keep chickens in Coronado. Lol!
